Earthquake Update

On Saturday April 24th, 2015, Nepal was hit with an earthquake measuring 7.9 on the Richter scale. It shook most parts of the country, and left behind massive destruction in human casualties and physical property, leaving many people in unforgettable pain and tears.

As of this writing a large amount of survivors are still not back to living in houses. Thousands of old houses and temples were completely destroyed. Even the people who did not lose their homes, stayed outside under plastic tarps as there were strong aftershocks going on, and nobody dared to stay inside. About 40 percent of the populations were affected by this disaster in different parts of the country. The majority of our producers lost their homes and many of our staff’s houses were damaged or destroyed.
